Join Lalor Tennis Club for a free bush tucker cooking workshop as part of the Baliyang* Cultural Program.

Learn how to cook using native ingredients in the club's new Indigenous garden.

Taste dips, dukkah and jams and cook your own damper over the fire, hosted by Cultural Gardens.

Bring back a bunch of recipes to use in your own kitchen and learn how to easily incorporate bush foods into your cooking.

Don't miss out! Bring your family and friends and join in the fun on Sunday, 30 August from 11am to 1pm.

All materials and ingredients included. Feel free to bring your own mug to try some bush tea.

Proudly supported by a City of Whittlesea grant.

*Baliyang means 'bat' in Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung language. This word was chosen to reflect the Bat Story, which was shared with the club by Uncle Lex Dadd and incorporates the club's ethos of inclusivity. Thanks go to Aunty Gail Smith and the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation for allowing us to use this word.
