Ballarat Legal Laneway Breakfast

Each February the Victoria Law Foundation celebrates the beginning of the legal year with a legal sector breakfast in Melbourne’s Hardware Lane.
In 2023, the inaugural Ballarat Legal Laneway Breakfast will be hosted by Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service (BGCLS), in partnership with the Victoria Law Foundation (VLF), Ballarat and District Law Association, and Hop Temple.
This will be a special event, as VLF celebrates 20 years of the Legal Laneway Breakfast in Melbourne and Ballarat hosts its first regional Legal Laneway Breakfast.
Legal professionals from the Ballarat region are invited to Hop Temple's "Hop Lane" to hear from guest speakers including VLF Executive Director Lynne Haultain, while enjoying free breakfast supplied by Hop Temple.
The breakfast provides an opportunity for the sector to come together and network. The 2023 Legal Laneway Breakfasts in both Melbourne and Ballarat will support WAM (Women and Mentoring) www.womenandmentoring.org.au.
WAM runs a unique, early intervention program that supports women and non-binary people in contact with the legal system by matching them individually with a supportive mentor. WAM have been operating in Melbourne since 2009 and are currently expanding into Ballarat.
