Barrio al-Tarab Presents: Music for Moving!
Event description
Barrio al-Tarab is a collective of artists, historians, curators, and cultural workers brought together by a shared commitment to sound as a form of memory, resistance, and connection. With cultural lineages that span North Africa, East Asia, and the Americas, we explore how music and sonic practices carry stories across time and place. We will be hosting a DJ set with music selected by members HoJun Yu and Kenza Bousseloub that reflects our interests, but mostly wanted to have a space where friends and family can gather and just dance to fun music before one of us moves overseas for some time.
Doors 8:00 PM, music at 8:30. All proceeds to Palestinian and Sudanese mutual aid.
