Be Here Now with Linda Lou & Darren Percival
Description
Be Here Now
Voice & Movement Workshop
Sunday 21 June 2026
This June, the Sunshine Coast is invited to dive into something fundamental: the healing power of their own voice and body.
Be Here Now is a two-hour singing and movement workshop led by two of Australia's most dynamic facilitators - psychologist and movement medicine practitioner Linda Lou, and celebrated vocalist and vocal coach Darren Percival. Taking place on Sunday 21 June from 12–2pm at Peregian Beach Community House, this playful, welcoming session is designed for the curious - no experience, no performance, no perfection required.
The science is clear: synchronising with others through voice and movement is one of the most powerful experiences available for mental and physical wellbeing. Current research confirms what many cultures have always known - group singing and movement reduces stress hormones and anxiety, calms the nervous system, strengthens immunity.
Linda Lou brings a rare fusion of Psychology, ZenThai Shiatsu, Yoga and QiGong to her facilitation, while Darren - founder of The Singing Space, SongWave and numerous music festival singing experiences - has spent over 40 years unlocking the voices of Australians in communities, companies and choirs around the country. Together they create something genuinely transformative and uplifting.
"This isn't a performance - it's a remembering and everyone leaves feeling more alive.”

Linda Lou is intrigued by the body - mind connection, combining her wealth of knowledge with tapping into the wisdom of nature. Born in Germany she is currently based in Australia. Connecting insights from her Masters in Psychology with movement medicine (ZenThai Shiatsu Therapist, Yoga and QiGong Teacher), she is passionate about facilitating transformational journeys for individuals and groups. She loves to spark curiosity about the possibilities of wellbeing, health and abundance. Linda teaches, facilitates retreats and is available for treatments.
Darren Percival is more than just a singer. With over forty years of professional experience as an entertainer and vocal coach he masterfully facilitates workshops with confidence, effortlessness and joy. He established The Singing Space in 1997 to offer companies, communities and choirs tools to unlock the barriers that stop them from vocalising freely. These days he tours with Australian Jazz luminary James Morrison, performs live with his band Percival Stack, presents his sonic healing class SongWave and facilitates uplifting workshops and retreats.
