Beautiful Beginners Basket Making Workshop using cane and natural fibres.
Enjoy a wonderful opportunity to create and learn an age old basketry technique. This workshop is designed to spark your own weaving adventure and inspire a whole new way of looking at local weaving fibres in your area. Expert guidance, tuition and encouragement is provided to support you to create your very own masterpiece. In this full day weaving workshop we will:
- explore the abundance of natural weaving fibres available
- how to prepare fibres
- how to store them
- what to look for in your garden or next door
- Substitutes that can be used instead
You will have the opportunity to prepare some fibres on the day so please bring an apron or old shirt just in case. An awesome variety of materials will be prepped and ready for you to get weaving with, LUXURY 5 star service right there!
All materials are included along with morning tea, tea and coffee. Please bring a healthy plate to share for lunch as we will definitely work up an appetite.
