This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us for this 2-hour nature-based school holiday activity where children will learn about bees and other pollinators, and the important role they all play in our lives. They’ll learn how honey is made and the role of pollen, worker bees, drone bees and Queen bees. They will also taste local Macarthur honey!

The children will go on a pollinator hunt in the gardens as well as learn about native bees and about what other creatures pollinate plants and how pollinators help us to grow food. You’ll also pick up some fun ideas on creating pollinator habitats at home. Bee hotels give bees an ideal and sheltered home especially for our wonderful Australian native bees.

Ticket $18 per children (adults no charge)
