Ben Hauptmann Trio

Catch the Ben Hauptmann Trio at JMI Live on Thursday, May 7th, for an evening of great tunes and effortless chemistry. Led by guitarist Ben Hauptmann, the night is all about taking the "standards" we know and love and giving them a fresh, spontaneous spin.

Expect a relaxed atmosphere and a setlist of familiar jazz classics reimagined through the trio’s unique lens. If you’re a fan of lyrical guitar playing and a rhythm section that just clicks, this is one you won't want to miss.

"A performer who quietly, but forcefully, demands an audience's attention through his masterful solos and lush atmospheric textures." — Megaphone Oz

"Hauptmann’s solos, all held fire and cool chromatic sparks... [are] a mini-masterclass on shaping and pacing a solo." — John Shand, The Sydney Morning Herald / WordsAboutMusic
