What we're raising money for:
“We need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.” - Desmond Tutu.
The mental health stats for the youth of New Zealand are bad. Really bad.
At BetterMan we want to give people information and tools so they don’t fall in the river in the first place.
We do this by taking the best parts from team sport - the fun, the games, the connection and camaraderie. We then combine this with our knowledge of positive psychology - an evidence-based, science-backed field that studies wellbeing and how a person can live optimally.
We’ve tailored a programme called the Better Self Blueprint and want to share this with young (and older...) club athletes - men and women. Having been part of sports clubs we know they don't have the resources to fund this important work. Your contribution is vital in helping us to equip them with tools to thrive - not only with the stresses and pressures of sport, but more importantly help them cope with the ups and downs of life.
Want to help us make that vision a reality? Get yourself a ticket now.
