Beyond Inclusion: Systemic Advocacy as a Tool for Real Change in LGBTQIA+ Young People’s Lives - YACWA February Community of Practice

We would love to see you at our first Youth Sector Community of Practice (CoP) Session in 2026 on Monday 16 February from 10:00AM - 12:30PM at Foyer Oxford, Leederville (or online)!  

This session will feature the Youth Pride Network’s (YPN) presentation on meaningful engagement with LGBTQIA+ young people in program and policy design. YPN will share practical advice on how youth workers can embed intersectional and sustainable practices in their everyday work to transform the lives of LGBTQIA+ young people. 

The Youth Sector CoP sessions are a re-imaging of the ANY meetings, but with a focus on sharing knowledge and building our practice across the sector. They provide a platform for youth workers to come together, network, meet others in the sector, share information, learn from one another, and contribute to YACWA and others’ policy work. 

Youth Sector CoP sessions are free for YACWA members and $40 for non-members. Places are strictly limited to 30 in person and 20 online (for regional attendees only). To allow for the participation of our regional members, we ask that metropolitan attendees strive to attend in person.
