Bibra Lake Wetlands Walk
Description
Join us for a guided walk at Bibra Lake (Walliabup) and learn about the importance of the Wetlands and gain a better understanding of the animals and plants that call the area home. We will be joined by our bird expert, who will teach you the basics of bird watching.
* Binoculars will be provided so you can view the birds and look at their stunning features.
Morning tea will be provided after the walk. We encourage you to stay and connect with your community.
This walk is presented as part of Biodiversity Month 2026, a month-long celebration of Cockburn's unique wetlands, bushland and coastal ecosystems. Throughout September, the City of Cockburn is hosting a range of walks, workshops and community activities to help residents learn about, connect with and support the local environments that sustain our diverse native plants and wildlife.

Walk information
For all ages. This easy-paced walk is approximately 1.5km and follows a mix of sealed paths, unsealed limestone trails and boardwalks. The walk will take up to two hours, including time for bird watching and discussion. Participants should wear enclosed footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. Suitable for most fitness levels.
