    Event description

We will have two of the best Blues bands in Tasmania at West Winds Community Centre in Woodbridge for our 'Big Blues Boogie' on Sunday afternoon 4th February 2024.

    THIS IS A BIG ONE!

    First up is:

Billy Whitton and The Men of Steel
This is a fabulous line up and they were sensational at the Forth Blues Festival in 2023. Billy also did a set with Phil Manning (Chain) that was unforgettable. With Matt Apted on drums and Randal Muir on keyboard this is a top-class act.

    Next up we have:

    Kate Meehan Band
Australian 'Queen of Blues', Kate is a brilliant performer and will keep you spellbound until the end of the afternoon. Kate is Tasmania's own legendary Blues Lady and daughter of well-known jazz trumpeter, the late Clem Meehan. Kate is equally at home with jazz and is twice winner of the Australian Blues music 'Chain' awards for Female Vocalist of the Year (2002, 2003), also winning 'Song of the Year' and 'Performer of the Year'.
