Description
Join fashion designer Gary Bigeni for Big Gay Bag Lab—a free creative workshop for queer neurodivergent young people to get ready for the Mardi Gras season.
Decorate a bag, create colourful charms, then fill it with goodies to help you through the celebrations. We’ll provide the bags, decorating materials and supplies—including condoms, glitter, lip balm, fans and other useful extras. Choose what works for you and build your own Mardi Gras survival kit.
It’s a chance to get creative, meet other queer young people and make something that’s both fabulous and practical. Go bold with colour, keep it simple or pile on the charms—there’s no right way to make your bag.
No art, fashion or sewing experience needed. Come on your own or with friends, create at your own pace and leave with a bag full of personality and Mardi Gras essentials.
Free to attend, with all materials and kit goodies provided.
