Birdhouses and Nests - School Holiday Fun with Cindy Wood
Event description
Join us for a wonderful weaving adventure creating ‘wee lil birdhouses’ for our feathered friends. Using a combination of locally sourced native and invasive vines, grasses, and weeds, we'll explore two basic weaving techniques to construct miniature havens for birds. Participants will learn the FUNdamentals of weaving while creating FUNctional and decorative birdhouses to hang in their gardens or gift to a friend.
An awesome opportunity to get out of the house these school holidays and create with like minded folk, meet new friends, connect with nature, learn new skills and get creative.
This is a family friendly event for participants aged 8 and above to join us for a weave with (or without) their favourite adult.
All materials supplied, but you're welcome to add non toxic fibres from home, seeds, shells, beads etc to make your ‘wee lil birdhouse’ inviting for wee lil birds.
I would love to fill my garden with ‘wee lil birdhouses’ as the birds exploring them bring so much joy each year. If you’re lucky you have a whole family move in and visit each year!
Please feel free to bring an abundance of enthusiasm, a big smile and a snack to keep you going while we weave.
Limited spots available, so be sure to reserve your place early to secure your spot in this weaving adventure!
Don't miss out on the chance to create a haven for our feathered friends while connecting with nature. We look forward to weaving with you!
