Birds and banksias: A design and propagation workshop aimed at creating biodiverse backyards
EnviroHouse
Bayswater WA, Australia
Event description
Recent research has called for the mass planting of banksias throughout the Perth region to provide food sources for Black cockatoos and other species that rely on these iconic flowers. In this hands-on workshop we'll look at ways to sympathetically design our gardens as well as techniques to propagate and care for banksias and related species for the benefit of the birds who rely on them. Participants will leave with knowledge about banksia gardening along with banksia seeds that they have potted up themselves.
This workshop is proudly brought to you by Enviro House and the City of Bayswater
