Event description

Bach in the Dark is starting 2022 with a bang! Rachel is delighted to announce that for the first concert of the year she'll be joined by her dear friend, former teacher and Australian cello legend David Pereira!

She's so pleased to be going back to the beautiful 'nolan on lovel' gallery in Katoomba. Rachel and David will play to an incredibly intimate audience of 25 hosted by gallery owners Robyn and Terry Nolan. Of course, all current COVID protocols will be followed.

The program will include works by Bach, a piece written especially for the program by David based around the Prelude of Bach's fifth cello suite, Mozart's sparkling duo in G major (originally for violin and viola) and Elena Kats-Chernin's 'Phoenix Story' featured on Rachel and David's recording 'Dreaming with Daisy'. What a way to start the year! Want to hear Rachel and David playing together? Just go here...

Door to the venue will open at 6.30pm, and ticket price includes a glass of wine. Rachel and David will also love to talk to you all after they have played...

Ticket sales will STOP at 2pm on Friday February 11, and no tickets will be available at the door. An electronic program will be emailed to all ticket holders by 3pm, but if you would prefer to have a paper program they will be available as you enter the gallery.
