Bach in the Dark - Music to celebrate the Winter Solstice – cello and spoken word
Event description
To celebrate the middle of winter, Rachel will be joined by the wonderful Damien Ryan, artistic director of ‘Sport For Jove‘ to present an intimate concert for cello and spoken word. In this amazing venue, for 30 people only, you’ll hear Bach’s Suite No. 2 for solo cello intertwined with words by Shakespeare all about winter.
Come wrapped up warmly – ready for darkness, music to slow your heart down, and words to fill your imagination – it’ll be a night to remember!
The Watchtower was the first school at La Perouse, and is made of stone and wood, with no power. There is free parking near the tower, but to get to the venue, you’ll need to walk on uneven ground. Sensible shoes are recommended! Sometimes parking is tricky, so allow extra time. There is also no disabled access. You’ll be able to come and sit down in the tower from 6.40pm – all seating is un-numbered, but it’ll be close and intimate!
By purchasing this ticket you agree to abide by all instructions given to you by Bach in the Dark helpers or Randwick Council staff.
