Description
Explore the essential elements of acrylic painting through a black and white still life.
By working without colour, you can concentrate on shape, volume, tonal values, light and shadow. During this guided workshop, you’ll learn to observe the subject, develop a composition and use tonal variation to create form and depth.
A practical workshop for beginners and those looking to build confidence with the fundamentals of painting.

About the tutor
Libby Protsan is a Brisbane-based visual artist whose work explores the human spirit and the colour and energy of the natural world. A graduate of a six-year honours degree, she brings a strong technical foundation and personal perspective to her artistic practice.
Her work has been recognised by the Riot Art & Craft Colour Prize and the Ipswich Art Awards. An accredited member of Flying Arts Alliance Queensland, Libby also facilitates community art programs across Brisbane, Ipswich and Springfield.
