Event description

Come along to an interactive workshop with Dean Arthurell of Carnaby’s Crusaders, who will be sharing information about the tireless work he is involved in supporting the conservation of our black cockatoos.

He’ll discuss the three species of black cockies you’ll see in south west WA and ideas for what you can do to help from your own home!

We’ll also learn about their different conservation status and the various threats they each face. Dean will even be bringing along both a Carnaby’s and a Forest Red-Tail and be speaking to this year’s outstanding breeding results!

Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn more about the conservation of black cockatoos in south west WA. Please let us know if you can no longer make it to this event as we have a waiting list in place.

This event will have a photographer in attendance that will produce photos that may be used for promotional purposes.

This event is part of the Leschenault Estuary Connect Program, made possible through generous funding support from Lotterywest, helping to build a better WA together, and Water Corporation. Further funding support has been provided through Healthy Estuaries WA – a State Government program that aims to improve the health of our south west estuaries.
