2 Workshops will run simultaneously and you can swap midway
Weaving with Merindi: Join Kuku Yalanji artist Merindi Schrieber, as she shares her Yalanji weaving techniques that that have been passed down from generation to generation
Art with Naurita: Join Naurita in an art-making Journey, Naurita Briscoe is a gifted Kuku Yalanji artist and founder of Walbul Walbul Art. Through her artwork, she reveals stories of her healing, learning, and growing personal experiences.
Stay for song by Briscoe Sisters: An afternoon of music, culture and connection with the Briscoe Sisters from Kuku Yalanji country (The Daintree Region of Far North Queensland). these three sisters Deline, Naurita and Merindi have been an inspiration to many and have been sharing stories through song and music for over two decades and continue to inspire and support the next generation.
