Join us as we explore the world of rum and the art behind creating tiki style cocktails. You will be trying a variety of different style rums and applying them to cocktails. Talk, history and the origins of where classic rum drinks originated and how "tiki" culture emerged our of a world of prohibition.

We will open with a welcome daiquiri. We will use this vessel to show the rum you choose truly does matter and how drasticlally it can alter the drink. This will Segway into a flight of different rums for people to try neat.

Next up - we will make everyone a Corn & Oil to show that tiki doesn't always mean sweet and citrusy. The Corn & Oil is a classic cocktail that drinks most similarly to an Old Fashioned or Manhattan, being that it is a spirit forward sipping cocktail while still utilizing traditional tiki ingredients.

Be will touch base on background and history of tiki culture, where it stems from, and how it has been integrated to fit the American palette.

Finishing with a classic Pina Colada to show how tiki culture has evolved and to offer a sweet and tasty treat to finish.

Corbin - our bar manager will be taking over this class and teaching you all you need to know on tiki style drinks. Small bites will be provided.
