Blithewold’s Big Berm
Event description
Blithewold has been working for nearly a decade to find an environmentally responsible, ecologically friendly, and long-term solution to the coastal erosion and dangers of sea level rise and their effects on two of our most beloved and historic garden areas. Finally, a solution has been developed and approved, and construction is to begin soon. Meet with Dan Christina, director of horticulture, as he highlights the development of the plan, changes in implementation, design challenges, and forward-thinking solutions to ecological pressure, and inspect the site that will transform and protect the Rock and Water Garden for generations to come.
This tour will begin with a visual display of plans and design elements and finish with a walk to the impacted areas.
