Swing jazz veterans Peter Baylor and Ash Guadion join forces to present an evening of blues and jazz in the Nat King Cole , Charles Brown, Earl Hines trio tradition. Hard swinging urban blues which featured the novel interplay of electric guitar and piano and driving double bass became an instrumental sensation during the 40’s and 50’s and paved the way for a new intimate blues based jazz setting in clubs. Both Peter and Ash have many decades of performing experience entertaining audiences here in Australia and Overseas in various bands of renown and are both delighted to have the opportunity to present this special night of music at Open studio. Jono Brown is their bass player of choice known for his muscular and sympathetic swinging sound.
