Thalia will guide a 45 minute Small Universe Qigong taster, themed around the element of water, demonstrating an accessible practice to anyone to benefit the health of body, mind and spirit. Learning to work with 'qi', or energy as a tool; Qigong is ‘energy skill’ or ‘energy work’.

Qigong works as a comprehensive system that teaches individuals methods to cultivate as well as preserve their vital energy through specific slow to medium paced, intentional movements synchronised to breath.  She will participants to consciously direct 'their energy' physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, for increased harmony and balance.

Qigong is a Traditional Chinese Medicine – TCM modality. It promotes a vital and balanced lifestyle to avoid energy depletion. Lifestyle choices that help preserve 'qi', such as adequate rest, balanced nutrition, moderate physical activities, and stress management are part of the broader ecosystem. However, this taster will touch on gentle movements, controlled breathwork with focused intention so each individual cultivates and enhances their 'qi', refining its flow and enhancing its potency within the body’s energy pathways. Finally, Qigong teaches practitioners to consciously direct and guide 'qi' within the body. By focusing, 'where attention goes, energy flows' to heal imbalances. This modality optimises the body’s natural healing abilities and contribute to overall well-being when practiced consistently and mindfully.
