bodypoetry: introduction to 'listening hands'
Event description
This workshop is a reclamation of your intuition, inviting you to deepen your relationship with touch while shifting your focus from the dominance of sight to the richness of all your senses. What if we dared to see the world through touch, taste, smell, and sound, freeing ourselves from the constraints of visual perception? This inquiry forms the heart of this training, challenging us to explore what the world would look like if we took out our sense of sight.
Designed for bodyworkers, dancers and all other curious practitioners of movement alike, this immersive experience offers a space to cultivate presence, empathy, and self-discovery. Join us as we embrace the profound world of sensory perception and discover the transformative potential of expanding our awareness beyond sight.
Led by the principles of the 12 threads of Zenthai Shiatsu, this training delves into the intricacies between sinew and tissue, guiding you to pay attention to your intention behind every movement. Through experiential learning and mindful practice, you'll uncover the power of therapeutic touch and intention, unlocking new dimensions of healing and connection.
- Less is more: In the subtlety of touch, we discover the power of simplicity and presence. Each gentle contact carries profound healing potential, reminding us that sometimes, less effort yields greater results.
- Perfect fit: Like a puzzle piece finding its place, our touch seeks alignment and harmony with the body. Through attentive listening and intuitive connection, we create a space where healing unfolds effortlessly.
- The more contact the better: In the art of touch, abundance leads to depth. By embracing continuous contact and connection, we amplify the therapeutic effects, nurturing transformation and well-being.
- Exploring limits: Within the boundaries of comfort lies the threshold of growth. With sensitivity and respect, we gently push these limits, encouraging expansion and discovery on the path to healing.
NOTE:
