Bollywood and Storytelling by the Birrarung

Join us for a joyful hour of Bollywood-inspired dance, storytelling and connection beside the beautiful Birrarung.

Set in the calming natural surrounds of the river, this playful session invites you to slow down, move your body and reconnect with yourself and others through music, movement and storytelling.

No dance experience is needed. You don't need to have a story prepared and you certainly don't need perfect coordination! Through simple Bollywood-inspired dance and gentle storytelling prompts, you'll discover how nature creates space for reflection, laughter and authentic connection.

Expect an uplifting hour filled with music, easy movement, shared stories and plenty of smiles.

The session is facilitated by professional storytellers and experienced facilitators Megan Davis and Yamini Naidu, who bring warmth, humour and encouragement to every experience. As they like to say, they may not remember the name of that new Italian restaurant everyone is talking about but they can certainly help you uncover a great story and channel your inner Bollywood star!

Come as you are and leave feeling lighter, more connected and inspired.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.
