Be part of an immersive afternoon in our pop-up bonsai studio with expert bonsai artist Michael Kempson. This unique, hands-on session invites you to engage directly with the artist as he shares his deep knowledge of this centuries-old art form. Bring along your own bonsai and tools to work on in a relaxed, collaborative environment, or simply observe as Michael demonstrates his process - shaping, pruning and refining living sculptures before your eyes. Stay for Michael’s talk at 2:30pm about his work in the Garden Variety exhibition.
Counterpoint Conversation 3 - 4pm
Join the artists Jude Rae, Ruth Waller and Toni Warburton in the gallery for conversation and insights into their art practices. The artists share a deep engagement with the physical and formal properties of their chosen materials of paint and clay. Explore the exhibition Counterpoint and connect with the artists shaping a compelling dialogue rooted in reflection, form, and the natural world.
