Event description

Join us at the Book Cow to launch a paws-itively fun new anthology - Hot Diggety Dog! Tales from the Bark Side

5 of the authors behind this collection of heartwarming and hilarious tales will be there to read and sign books. Whether you're a dog lover or just appreciate a good story, this anthology is bound to tickle your funny bone and leave a paw print on your heart.

Dress up in your favourite doggy costumes, listen to some doggy story time and enjoy doggy activities as we launch this fun new anthology for kids! There’ll be prizes for the best dog costume and treats for everyone.

About the authors

Christine Crawford’s stories for children have been included in four Anthologies. She also writes adult fiction.

Shaye Wardrop writes for kids who love the fantastical. You’ll find her stories in It’s a Kind of Magic: Stories and Spells by Second-Rate Sorcerers, Hot Diggety Dog! Tales from the Bark Side, The School Magazine and PaperBound Magazine. She also reviews books for Kids’ Book Review.

Ayla Wardrop (age 10) loves reading and writing, particularly stories with mythical creatures and cute characters. She’s a keen illustrator, writes stories and poetry, and is a book reviewer for Kids’ Book Review.

Mistie Dal Molin is a fulltime mum and public servant, who writes for children in her spare time. Her first picture book Rainbows From Poppy is a touching story about an unforgettable grandfather and the promise he made to his family before he died - a valuable grief resource to encourage important conversations. Mistie has published 2 picture books and 3 Australian anthologies. Mistie’s latest story was inspired by a local family and their beloved dog, who passed away.

Rocky Dal Molin (age 9) is the proud author of two children’s anthology stories. He launched Device Power Potion at The Book Cow in 2022. Finding Monroe was inspired by his brother and a golden retriever name Monroe, who startles easily. It’s a story about friendship and never giving up. Rocky is a keen online gamer, who loves reading, eating steak and playing basketball and rugby league.

See you there!
