Description

Calling all princesses, princes and knights! Join us at Books@Stones this Love Your Bookshop Day on Saturday 10 October at 11am for a special storytime with children's author Alison McLennan!

In this irresistibly funny and playful picture book about sibling rivalry, a frustrated older brother tries EVERYTHING to get his sister out of his room!

Princesses are stealthy, sneaky and sly.

And once inside the castle walls, they are tricky to remove.

But not impossible…

How to Get Rid of a Princess is a hilarious and relatable tale about a mischievous little sister and her frustrated older brother who is desperate to stop her joining in his game. All he has to do is follow the steps in this easy-to-use guide!

There's just one problem: the advice may not work in every castle, and princesses might not be as bad as he thinks...

With brilliantly funny and charming artwork by CBCA-award-winning illustrator Mel Pearce, How to Get Rid of a Princess will surprise and delight siblings of all ages, and prove that princesses are actually quite good at some things... once you get used to them!

Join Alison for a special storytime, book signing, crown-making and cupcake-filled morning, and come dressed as a princess, prince or knight!

This picture book is perfect for:

  • Younger and older siblings

  • Modern families seeking stories about learning to get along

  • Teachers, librarians and storytime readers seeking entertaining picture books with heart
