💛 Supporting the Sarah Ford Foundation
We believe exercise really is medicine and that it doesn’t have to happen in a gym! Dancing, laughing, moving and connecting with others can all play a part in supporting our mental health.
So round up your friends, pull on your finest Wild West gear and join us for a night of line dancing, laughs and plenty of boot scootin’ fun!
🌵 ONE NIGHT. ONE GREAT CAUSE 🤠
This special event is also helping us raise funds for something absolutely essential to the Sarah Ford Foundation:
Our insurance.
Last year, the insurance required for the Foundation to operate cost a whopping $3,033 — and we expect that cost to rise again this year.
Please find below a snip of our current invoice for this year (with personal details removed), showing that amount (no AI used here, you can request to see a copy if you wish):
Without this essential insurance, we simply cannot run our programs.
That includes our ROSE Program, which supports women who are currently experiencing or are survivors of family and domestic violence.
🌹 ROSE stands for:
R – Reclaim
O – Overcome
S – Strengthen
E – Empower
Through group exercise, ROSE provides women with a safe, supportive and confidential environment where they can strengthen their physical and mental health, overcome barriers, reclaim hope and work towards personal empowerment.
The program is delivered by Sarah Ford, an AUSactive-accredited exercise professional and registered Australian Counselling Association Counsellor, with the Foundation supported by The Y Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre in Byford in providing this important space.
