Join Hilary Pearl and Cam Burton for a hands-on workshop introducing some of the characteristics used to identify and classify plants.

You will pull flowers apart, make a mini-plant press and through photos of key features, you will enjoy a visual feast of Sunshine Coast flora.  We will focus on four key plant families:  

  • the Proteaceae (grevilleas, banksias), 
  • the Myrtaceae (gums, bottlebrush, lillypillys), 
  • Asteraceae (daisies), and the 
  • Poaceae (grasses - meet some of our stunning native grasses).  

 The workshop will run for two hours, and will finish with a walk around the Barung seed forest and nursery. Participation is limited to 20 places so please book in to attend!
