Bowen Therapy in Practice

Traditionally a remedial musculoskeletal soft tissue therapy, we explore here as well, the wholistic nature of Bowen as either a stand-alone or support therapy for a wide range of conditions and situations including systems support and mind / body aspects.

As a particularly efficient stress management tool, how it can become an integral component of a wellness programme for any age group. Also addressed is how practitioner friendly it is and the benefits of Bowen in a business sense. Throughout the workshop specific Bowen introductory moves/procedures will be used to provide participants an experiential component.

Margaret Spicer B.Pharm, N.D., Dip.BT

Margaret, originally a pharmacist, has been a naturopath for over 30 years, with her clinic in the Sydney CBD. She has been a Bowen practitioner since 1994, Bowtech Instructor since 2000 and co-developed and regularly taught the Mind Body Bowen Workshop around Australia since 2002, and in UK, Europe (var) and NZ from 2004, and the US, Canada from 2006. Margaret describes her own personal journey with Bowen as inspiring. She has a great interest in the philosophies and practice of natural healing including mind body integration, energetic and spiritual healing and brings her own personal and clinical experience to each session. ‘I have been doing Bowen now for around 27 years and the thing that continues to amaze me is just how far Bowen therapy can go given half a chance, it is a truly wholistic therapy.’
