    Event description

Join us for a morning amongst the birds!

We are excited to welcome Mark Fuller from Avianation back for our fourth year of bird watching.

We'll learn all about the birds who call Mountain View Reserve home, and enjoy a guided walk and talk around the picturesque bushland reserve while we record the species we see and hear.

After that, we’ll weed the reserve to help conserve the birds’ natural habitat and protect the flora from invasive weeds.

    What can I expect?

    • You'll be given a picture guide which shows the common birds
    • Binoculars will be available for the first 12 people.
    • You’ll be provided with tools, training, and guidance on how to weed. No experience is required!
    • A yummy breakfast, tea and coffee.

What do I need to wear and bring?

    • Wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy closed-in shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
    • Bring a bottle of water.
    • A camera to snap pictures of the birds!
    • Binoculars if you have some (but not necessary).

The event is open to everyone with and without Bushcare experience. Children must be supervised by an adult.

Over the four years, we have identified over 60 different species here. Will we add to this this year?
