About the Workshop

This free workshop will help you become more confident in working with your child’s school to deepen your child’s sense of belonging as a valued and contributing member of their school community. It will be ideal for families wanting information and strategies to create opportunities at school for their child to make friends, and ways to nurture those friendships.

Learn about:

  • The critical importance – and possibility – of friendship for all
  • Myths about friendship and recognising what it means to belong
  • Identifying your child’s interests and strengths, and finding or creating the school roles to help these to grow
  • Intentional friendship building - what works and what gets in the way
  • Nurturing and sustaining friendships and belonging

    These workshops are delivered by CRU to assist families of students with  disability to be clear, informed, confident and connected so they can work as respected and valued partners in their children’s education.
