Brookfield Wombat Walk and Campout Under the Stars
Event description
Our sold-out event is Back again for 2025! Join Park Rangers, Friends of Brookfield Conservation Park, and wombat researchers for an experience you won’t forget!
Brookfield Conservation Park is home to a population of southern hairy-nosed wombats. Join park rangers and volunteers/researchers from the Friends of Brookfield Conservation Park for a guided sunset walk to witness and learn about the lives of the southern hairy-nosed wombat as they come out of their burrows to graze. The walk will take around one hour at dusk and is suitable for ages 5+.
The park also lies within Australia’s only International Dark Sky Reserve making it one of the best places on earth to gaze at the stars above. Make sure you bring your own binoculars or telescope to check out the stars and planets above.
