A stacked lineup of Sydney's funniest comedians 🔥
📍 Buddy's Bar, Newtown
📆 Thursday 28th May
🕢 Doors 7pm | Show 7.30pm

Jen Carnovale is a comedian from Sydney who has traveled from quaint bookstores in Canberra to Latvian kind-of scary warehouses for stand up. She has toured across the UK, Australia, all the good looking parts of Europe and tasty parts of Asia, Jen has performed for Comedy Central Australia, Frocking Hilarious for Action Aid, opened for Doug Stanhope, a regular guest on ABC iviews Bookish and was invited to perform with All Together Now for Comedy Vs Racism. Her stand up has been described as “Outstanding razor-sharp slices of observational comedy” by Funny Women UK, “Gifted with wonderful timing and a lovely line in accents” by Australian Stage and The Herald Sun said to “Keep an eye out for Carnovale”.

Alan Fang is a stand up comedian who’s performed at the Comedy Store and Enmore Theatre. He is member of the OG Crew with over 1.3M subscribers on YouTube and has had been a performer in videos that have reached 27M+ Views (TikTok) and 11M+ views (Youtube). He was part of the Breakout program at Sydney Comedy Festival 2025. He has produced sketches with 130 thousand+ views.

Michelle Azevedo is a writer and stand-up comedian. USA born and Central Queensland raised, Michelle has been running her mouth on stage since 2012 to much hubbub, ballyhoo and brouhaha (she couldn’t remember the word she wanted to use here, but has been assured that these do get her point across). Michelle has done some fun things since starting comedy, such as making it to the state finals of RAW Comedy QLD, three successful split-billed festival shows, as well as being a resident host and founding member of Brisbane cult darlings This Thing Of Ours and Soup At The Milk Factory. Performing her first solo show ‘Cool Girl’ at Brisbane Funny Fest to a sold-out crowd in 2018, she has since made the big move to Sydney, and she can’t bloody wait to meet you all. PS - Michelle finds writing in the third person very awkward. Please come see Michelle talk normally.

Andrew Hastings grew up in Manly. His high school's unofficial slogan and aim was to turn "manly boys into manly men". As a skinny, pale, self-professed dork, he's never felt quite like he fit into what their idea of being a man meant. At one point, one of his friends announced that they didn’t actually identify as a man. To top it off, his name also means man. Simply put, Hastings put in a lot of thought about what it means to be a man. And while he's not sure if at 31-years-old if he's surpassed being much more than "a manly boy", he has figured out that you can decide what being a man is on your own terms – even if that means a perpetual state of adolescence.
