Build garden bed & Gardening 101, Ōwairaka Connecting Communities Hub, Monday 10 November, 10.30am-1.30pm
Event description
Proudly brought to you by Albert-Eden Local Board!
Ready to get creative in the garden this spring? 🌱
Join us to build your own raised garden bed from reclaimed timber and take home a smaller version to kickstart your planting. Our friendly tutor will show you how to use power tools safely and confidently while sharing handy gardening and woodworking tips.
We’ll start with a quick safety briefing, then it’s time to start building. By the end, you’ll head home with new skills and something you made yourself, ready to fill with fresh plants and veggies.
All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).
* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.
* Please note that you need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
* Please bring a water bottle and snack for yourself.
When: Monday 10 November, 10.30am-1.30pm
Where: Murray Halberg Park, Range View Rd, Mt Albert.
The ReCreators are on a mission to show the world how to reduce and reuse our natural resources. It’s easy, fun, creative, and sustainable. Join us on our journey.
