Step into the spotlight with Holly Hornet’s and Muse School of Burlesque ‘Burly-Q’ dance workshop, inspired by the 2010 hit film starring Cher and Christina Aguilera!
Designed for all bodies and abilities, this fun, one-hour class is perfect for anyone looking to try something exciting and different.
We’ll dive into the basics of burlesque – think classic struts, shimmies and grinds – and finish with a fun routine set to one of the movie’s unforgettable tracks.
No dance experience? No problem! This workshop is all about having fun, feeling great, and embracing your inner star in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Whether you're looking to let loose or just want a fun afternoon escape, this is your chance to shine. Come join the fun!
What: 60min, adults only beginner friendly dance workshop
When: Sunday 30 March, 1.30-2.30pm
Where: Evolution Performance Centre, Level 2, 575-597 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065
Wear: Comfortable clothes you can move in (work out wear welcome), dance heels optional (regular high heels are often hard to dance in), feel free to add items that help you feel sassy or beautiful!
Bring: Water, notepad and pen, phone to film or photograph yourself at the end of class!
About Holly:
Holly Hornet is a Sydney based burlesque performer who has been performing for over seven years both in Sydney and interstate. Her performance style is cute but with a little bit of spice, relishing the juxtaposition between sweet and dangerous.
Muse School of Burlesque:
The Muse School of Burlesque operates primarily in the Sutherland Shire and Illawarra, with special events and classes in Sydney and the North Shore.
Muse aims to bring exciting and preeminent burlesque performers to teach their unique skills and insights, providing a rounded and diverse experiences to benefit its students growth and understanding of burlesque.
Muse School of Burlesque acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we dance on, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
