Business Builders Networking Drinks is dedicated to helping current and aspiring business leaders grow their networks and develop meaningful business relationships.

We feature engaging speakers at most events, but always leave plenty of time to connect, share a drink, and build real relationships in the room.

If you're free to join us, we'd love to see you there.

It is rare to find a place where you can speak honestly in business.

For most business owners, networking is something you tolerate rather than enjoy. You show up, make polite conversation, and leave feeling more tired than when you arrived.

On 2 February, Damian Percy will talk about why networking feels so uncomfortable for so many people and why it probably is not your fault.

You’ll hear how to:

Recognise why networking often feels wrong. Understand the unspoken pressures and power dynamics that make most rooms exhausting rather than useful.
Lower the threat in business conversations. Learn what actually helps people relax, speak honestly, and engage without an agenda.
Build relationships without selling. Discover how trust, not transaction, becomes the foundation for meaningful business connections over time.

Damian brings a practical, lived perspective shaped by years in senior leadership and by building Business Builders as a community deliberately designed to feel different. His focus is not on extracting value from rooms, but on creating environments where people leave lighter, clearer, and more connected than when they arrived.

This is not a session about learning to network better.
It is a conversation about why most networking does not work, and what actually does.

Building a strong business network is hard.

It takes time, energy, repeated effort. Turning up. Starting again. Trying to remember who mattered and why. It is a lot of work.

Business Builders exists to take the hard work out of networking.

Our community exists so conversations do not just end when the event does. It makes it easier to stay connected, get to know people properly, and let trust build over time, without selling, pressure, or having to perform.

We have been using the online community for a few months now, and the difference is noticeable. At our December hosts meeting, one long time host described joining the community as the highlight of their year, simply because of watching the conversations naturally deepen over time.
