Women in Social Enterprise - Business for Good Lunch

The Social Enterprise Council of NSW and ACT (SECNA) invites you to join us for the Sydney Women in Social Enterprise Business for Good Lunch, in partnership with Women NSW.Â
Wednesday 9th October, 12pm to 1:30pm at The Freedom Hub's Sydney Waterloo cafe, 283 Young Street Waterloo NSW 2017 Australia
SECNA is the peak body that represents the interests of social entrepreneurs and social enterprises across NSW and the ACT.
Business for Good events are one of the ways SECNA engages and connects the NSW and ACT social enterprise sector with each other and to supporters in the broader community.
Who is this event for?
This Business for Good Lunch is for registered participants of SECNA's Women in Social Enterprise Program (supported by Women NSW). This is SECNA's first Business for Good event with The Hon. Jodie Harrison, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault as well as Women NSW representatives. We look forward to hosting more opportunities like this across other locations as the program continues.Â
What to expect:
- Lunch will be served upon arrival and is included in your ticket
- Welcome and overview of SECNA and the Women in Social Enterprise ProgramÂ
- Brief address from The Hon. Jodie Harrison, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
- Community asks and offers - Each guest is given an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves/their social enterprise and then share one ask and offer of the community e.g. ‘we’re looking for warehouse space for refurbished items’ or ‘we’re experts in circular design and are happy to answer questions'
- Guests invited to network for the remainder of the lunch
- Closing remarks.
