This is a rare opportunity to visit the Bendigo Water Reclamation Plant, the final destination for everything we wash down our drains and flush down our toilets.
Managed by Coliban Water and funded by its customers, the plant is set to undergo an $82.6 million upgrade over the next few years to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our growing community. The project is just one of many water and sewer upgrades underway around the region.
The team from Coliban Water will debunk common myths, explain why the planned upgrade is so important, and show you what happens to your water once you’re done with it - including how it’s treated and given a new life as the recycled water and biosolids that keep community assets green and local crops growing.
