Butterfly Magic @ Wilgi Kaartdijin Mia Willagee Library

Step into a world of transformation, colour, and wonder with Eco Action!

Join us for a magical butterfly adventure where children can discover how tiny caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies through hands-on activities, real-life discoveries and creative play.

Meet real caterpillars and chrysalises, explore the amazing stages of metamorphosis, and find out what butterflies eat, where they live and why they’re so important to our environment.

Then step inside the Butterfly Tent for a magical experience! Children can get up close to fluttering butterflies and may even have the chance to gently hold or feed one.

To finish, it’s time to get creative with fun butterfly-themed art activities where little imaginations can take flight!

Children under 13

• Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of this activity.

Cancellation

• If you are no longer able to attend, please contact the library as soon as possible so the place can be offered to someone on the waitlist.

• If you are unwell, we kindly ask that you stay home and notify the library when possible.

• You can email lib.events@melville.wa.gov.au if you are having any issues cancelling your booking.

Waitlist

• Many of our sessions are very popular, which is why tickets are released one week in advance.

• If a session is fully booked, we encourage you to join the waitlist. Places are often offered to waitlisted participants when cancellations occur.
