BVJ plays Nu Jazz
Event description
ABOUT BVJ
BVJ returns to JMI Live with a new quartet distinguished by a departure from the hard bop era and a focus on modern compositions by groups within the global jazz scene. Embracing elements of house, fusion and modal jazz, the music breaks the confines of more traditional jazz forms while retaining moments of spontaneous improvisation and interaction. Expect music from the likes of Badbadnotgood (CA), Keifer (US), Golden Mean (UK) and Melbourne/Naarm based artist Harvey Sutherland, along with many more.
