CACAO + BREATHWORK | GLEN INNES
Description
CACAO + BREATHWORK | GLEN INNES
The Healing Breath is coming to Glen Innes.
For the first time, we’re bringing one of our cacao and breathwork gatherings into town.
After years of holding these gatherings in other communities, and more recently on our land outside Glen Innes, it feels pretty special to finally hold one here in town.
On Saturday 29 August, we’ll gather at the Girl Guides Hall for a morning of cacao, breathwork, music, sound and connection.
You don’t need any experience with breathwork.
You don’t need to be “spiritual”.
You don’t need to know what you’re supposed to feel, do or experience.
Just come as you are.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll begin by slowing things down.
There’ll be time to arrive, settle into the space and share ceremonial cacao together before moving into a guided breathwork journey.
The breathwork itself is an immersive experience supported by music, live instruments, sound and scent.
There may be moments of stillness.
There may be emotion.
There may be laughter, tears, movement, sound or deep rest.
Or you may simply spend a few hours away from the noise of everyday life and leave feeling a little lighter, clearer and more connected to yourself.
Every person's experience is different.
There is nothing you need to achieve here.
No performance.
No expectation.
No pressure to have some enormous breakthrough.
Just space to breathe, feel and reconnect.
THE BREATHWORK
The breathwork is guided throughout, so you don’t need to know what you’re doing beforehand.
You’ll be invited into a conscious connected breathing practice while lying comfortably on your mat.
Music, live instruments and scents are woven throughout the experience, with periods of active breathing balanced with opportunities to slow down, rest and integrate.
You are always in control of your own experience.
You can slow your breathing, return to normal breathing, sit up or stop at any point.
THE CACAO
We’ll share ceremonial cacao together before the breathwork begins.
Cacao has a long history of ceremonial and communal use and, for us, it forms part of slowing down, gathering intentionally and arriving into the space together.
There’s no pressure to drink a particular amount, and you're welcome to have less or choose not to drink cacao at all.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Maybe life has been busy lately.
Maybe you’ve been carrying a lot.
Maybe you’ve heard about breathwork and wondered what all the fuss is about.
Maybe you want a few hours away from everything.
Maybe somebody you trust has told you that you should come.
Or maybe you don't really know why this caught your attention.
That's enough.
You don't need previous experience with cacao, breathwork or ceremony.
You don't need to arrive as any particular version of yourself.
Come as you are.

Please contact Brendan before booking if you are pregnant or have a history of cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, epilepsy or seizures, severe respiratory conditions, recent major surgery or injury, or another medical or psychological condition that may be affected by intensive breathwork.
This allows us to explain the practice and any available modifications, but we cannot determine your individual medical suitability for participation.
If you are uncertain whether participating is appropriate for you, please speak with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional beforehand.
The practice can be modified and participation is always your choice. You are welcome to slow down, return to normal breathing or stop at any point.
OUR FIRST GLEN INNES GATHERING
This one feels a little special.
For a long time, much of The Healing Breath has happened elsewhere, along the coast, in other communities, and more recently out on the land at Keith's Gate.
Now we're bringing it into Glen Innes.
Our first gathering in town.
A few hours together.
Cacao.
Breath.
Music.
Connection.
And a little less noise from the outside world.
The door's open.
Come as you are.
