Event description

When relationships end, or families experience other challenging transitions, it can be tough for everyone involved. It can be especially difficult for children to express their feelings and have their voice heard by the adults around them.

Two Worlds was informed by the experiences of a group of child and family workers, who wanted to create a resource for families experiencing significant transitions and life changes, to help them have reflective, healing conversations.

In this 30-minute FREE online session we will explore:

  • the power of images and symbolism to prompt reflective conversations
  • strategies for using Two Worlds to talk about change, transitions and family dynamics
  • using the cards in therapeutic conversations with families
  •  a range of questions to ask when using the cards with parents and/or children.
  • creative applications such as journalling and art therapy
  • tips, feedback and success stories from others who have used Two Worlds.

This session is ideal for counsellors, social workers, out-of-home carers, school wellbeing advisors, child and family workers, educators and parents.
