Join us for a artist panel discussion with the artists of Care Structures
What: Artists Panel Discussion and Closing Reception
When: Sunday, October 22, 2:00 – 3:00pm
Where: Gallery 1, M16 Artspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith
Cost: Free
Select artists from Care Structures will be joined in discussion, facilitated by Deirdre Cannon, Assistant Curator, Australian Art at the National Gallery. Following the discussion, light refreshments will be served and visitors can spend time with the artists, artworks and exhibition in it's closing hours. During the reception, exhibiting artist Nina Walton will be present in the space 'unpainting' her site responsive thread installation.
About Care Structures
Matthew Allen, Kirsten Biven, Boni Cairncross, Sanne Carroll, Emma Fielden, Rubaba Haider, Annelies Jahn, James Lieutenant, Britt Salt, Kate Vassallo, Constanze Vogt, Nina Walton & Belinda Yee.
Care Structures brings together local, national and international artists working with expanded drawing practice. These process orientated artworks are time-consuming to make, offering a glimpse into the maker’s inner world and inviting viewers to consider time, thought and the human condition.
Exhibitions run from 28 September - 22 October
M16 Artspace operates on the lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We honour and pay our respects to their traditional custodians. We acknowledge this land ‘always was and always will be’ the country of Australia’s First Nations People. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Parking: M16 Artspace has free parking and dedicated disability parking spots outside the entrance.
Wheelchair access: Ramp access at the entrance of M16, however this can be too narrow for some wheelchair users. If this proves to be the case the studio access entrance has no stairs and connects directly to the gallery, please contact us for more information!
Bathrooms: We have one wheelchair access and gender-neutral bathroom behind the lobby in addition to two gendered bathrooms.
