Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Great Southern winemaking, Rob Diletti has spent more than four decades quietly shaping the reputation of one of Australia's great cool-climate regions. Under his stewardship, Castle Rock Estate has become a benchmark for Riesling and Pinot Noir, with wines revered for their precision, purity and remarkable ability to age.
While Rob's wines are poured in some of the country's finest restaurants and cellars, opportunities to taste alongside him are few and far between, making this event a legitimately special occasion.
Across the afternoon, Rob will guide us through an exceptional collection of current, flagship and museum releases, offering a detailed look at how Castle Rock's wines evolve over time. Expect a side-by-side exploration of Estate, Diletti and museum bottlings across Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, before finishing with the estate's beautifully balanced Muscat.
Naturally, wines of this calibre deserve food to match. We've commissioned the talented Ette to create a succession of individually paired canapés, we've affectionately called fancy snacks, designed to complement each flight without stealing the spotlight.
This isn't a formal masterclass. It's an afternoon around the table with one of Western Australia's most respected winemakers, exceptional food, extraordinary wines and plenty of stories along the way.

- Getting to and parking in North Freo
The traffic bridge closure has not affected access to North Fremantle as significantly as anticipated! It is quite easy to get here by car outside of peak hours.
Given this event involves alcohol, we do encourage you to use a ride share, taxi or public transport rather than drive. Should you drive here, parking is available on the street, or at Australia Post. Please do not park in the Old Bridge bottleshop bays or directly out the front of ...by Old Bridge.
- Can I sit with my friends who have booked separately?
For seated events you must request, at your earliest possible convenience, if there is another party you wish to be seated with. Please provide the name under which their booking was made and we'll handle the rest!
- What about food allergies?
We can accommodate food allergies, (not preferences) but we do require advance notice so our chef can prepare. The sooner you can let us know, the better!
