The Children’s Book Council of Australia would like families to join them in celebrating their birthday.
Either come to Storytime and have a story with Katrina Germein, or meet Charlie Archbold and hear about her books for ages 8+ years.
Both authors will be available for signings and book sales.

Meet the Authors:
Charlie Archbold is a children’s author with a deep love for storytelling. Whether she is working on books in her middle grade adventure series, The Sugarcane Kids, heartfelt picture books like, Raised by Moths, or thought-provoking YA like, Mallee Boys, her goal is to create stories that leave a lasting impression. Her books have won the Readings Prize, a Davitt Award, the Adelaide Festival Unpublished Manuscript Award and received CBCA Notable and Honour awards. Charlie is a Premier’s Reading Challenge Ambassador and writes characters who work to make things better in their world.
Katrina Germein is a best-selling children’s author, published internationally. Her popular titles include Bev and Kev, My Dad Thinks He’s Funny, Fabulous Frogs, One Little Duck, and Big Rain Coming. Katrina’s work has been Highly Commended in the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and won a CBCA Honour, as well as CBCA short-listings and Notables. Katrina is a past winner of the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award and the SCBWI Crystal Kite Award. Her books have been recorded five times for the children’s television show Play School. When she’s not writing books or talking about them, Katrina enjoys reading, daydreaming, and drinking tea with friends; she also likes bushwalking and going to the beach. Spring 2025 sees the release of Katrina’s twenty-eighth picture book, Another Year Around the Sun.
