As roadworks and other building projects slowly encroach upon us all, the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens is becoming an ever-more vital sanctuary and oasis for our wildlife and for people, too. Please join us on Sunday 15th September for an inspiring fund-raising event for the Gardens as we CELEBRATE BIRDS!

8.00am breakfast with the birds - walk with Hunter Bird Observers Club followed by BBQ breakfast - very limited places for this walk. Bookings essential. Bookings close 13th Sept. Price of $20 includes entry and breakfast BBQ.

9.30am Bird photography walk with Hunter Bird Observers. Limited places. Bookings essential.

10.30am Presentation - growing plants to attract birds to your garden with Helen Howard from Hunter Region Botanic Gardens

10.50am Presentation - Birdlife Australia - Mark Clifton

11.10am break

11.40am auction of bird collectors plates, etched glassware, and other bird items - auctioneer is Tracy Jonovski from Osborne George Real Estate. See our Facebook page for auction items.

There will be displays and activities from NPWS, Eco-Network and Hunter Bird Observers Club.

The Hunter Region Botanic Gardens receives no on-going government funding. The Gardens are maintained entirely be volunteers. All donations are gratefully received and fund-raising events such as this are vital to keep our Gardens going and growing. Thank you for your support.
