Celebrating Jean
Event description
Together with her family and friends, the Tasmanian Land Conservancy (TLC) will be holding a gathering at the
Tinderbox Hills Reserve to celebrate our dear friend, Jean Richmond, who recently passed away.
We request that those attending meet at 294 Tinderbox Road from 10:00am, no later than 10:30am. From here, shuttle buses will take us to the TLC's Tinderbox Hills
Reserve, where we will take a short easy walk through the grassy woodland and share stories and be coddled by (Jean's beloved) mother nature. The celebration will commence at 11am. Shuttle buses will be making return trips from noon until 1pm.
Please bring everything you need to be comfortable including:
- warm weather clothing
- a waterproof jacket in case of showers
- comfortable footwear for the short walk
- a chair
- a thermos for hot drinks or water
- snacks or a picnic lunch
If the weather does not permit an outside gathering, we will be in touch to confirm alternative arrangements.
Jean’s daughter, Carolyn, will be collating a special tribute to share with those close to Jean, including her sons, family and friends who are sadly unable to travel to Hobart at this time. If you would like to send in your own personal tribute (which may be words, a drawing, photos etc) Carolyn and her family will be very appreciative. Please email Sophie Marshall at smarshall@tasland.org.au
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the TLC in Jean's honor. Visit our Donations in Tribute page and type ‘Jean Richmond’ in the Honouree Name.
