The Celtic people, like all indigenous cultures were a nature worshipping culture. Rich traditions, stories and beliefs abound regarding the magic of nature.
Join me for this two day event where we will take a deep dive into the Celtic plant lore and shamanic practices and traditions.
We will look at Trees and what they meant to the Celts, learning how to connect to these great beings. We will journey through the Celtic yearly cycle, festivals and the traditions associated with these times. We will learn about the Celtic fairy faith and connect with the nature spirits of earth, air, fire and water.
You will be guided through two Celtic shamanic vision journeys where you will meet and connect with powerful allies from this tradition.
Many traditional stories and songs will be shared and you will leave with a understanding and connection to this cultural legacy, waiting for you to discover.
About your guide:
Hannah McQuilkan has a 15 year background in natural health, healing and wellness. She is a qualified Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Forest Therapy Guide. As a practicing Druidess she seeks ways to connect more deeply with the natural world and her ancestors and is passionate about discovering her Celtic roots and sharing the magic and ritual of this culture with others.
About the venue:
Sacred Earth Retreat is a stunning space located above the wild black sand beach of Karekare. The ocean can be seen from our temple high on the hill, situated in a lovely garden setting.
